Introduction

dsh-chrome-app-launcher

A DeepSeek Harness plugin that creates a Windows desktop shortcut which launches dsh web in a Chrome app-mode window (no address bar / no tabs).

What it does

On every boot (Windows only), the plugin:

  1. Writes a small launcher .bat into %LOCALAPPDATA%\dsh-chrome-app-launcher\launch-dsh.bat
  2. Creates a Desktop shortcut DeepSeek Harness.lnk pointing at it

Double-clicking the shortcut:

  • auto-detects Chrome (registry App Paths first, then common paths, then Edge as fallback)
  • starts dsh web --no-open in the background
  • waits for the port to become ready
  • opens the Web GUI in a Chrome app-mode window (with a fresh --user-data-dir so it is a real standalone app window even when Chrome is already running)
  • closing that terminal window stops the service

Configuration

Configure via settings.yaml (or the bundle patch):

chrome-app-launcher:
shortcutName: DeepSeek Harness # shortcut label
port: 3080 # dsh web port

Platform

Windows only (win32). On other platforms the plugin is a no-op.
