Introduction
dsh-plugin-updater
Updates every third-party plugin in the current DSH profile — npm packages and GitHub-only plugins that DSH’s built-in Plugins page never sees.
Problem
DSH’s Settings → Plugins only talks to the npm registry. Plugins installed as github:owner/repo look “up to date” forever: no version, no update button, and a floating branch name that pnpm will not actually advance.
What it does
Adds Settings → Plugin updates. One check, one table:
- npm plugins → registry
- GitHub plugins → Release, then tags, then the default branch
- Same version, new commits on the default branch → still an update
- Wrong package behind a tag (e.g. leftover GEN3 tags on a GEN4 repo) → rejected, not installed
- npm / GitHub Release published less than 24 hours ago → cooling-off, not offered as an update (pnpm 11
minimumReleaseAge)
Install
dsh plugin add dsh-plugin-updater
Restart DSH, then Settings → Plugin updates.
Or from GitHub:
dsh plugin add github:Fivezy2005/dsh-plugin-updater
